I finally tracked Calories for a WHOLE day! ( iPhone APP)

This may not sound like much a feat to all you fit-heads (yeah, I said fit-heads) but I have tried dozens of times to track calories. Everytime, I forget one thing here and there and before I know it my tracker is SHOT!

Well, I started to figure I'd use my smart phone to my advantage and went app CRAY! (Download ALL the apps! :willy_nilly:) But this week... I hit the mother load!


THE APP: MyNetDiary
It's an iPhone app but may be on Android as well? (Let our fellow members know if you find it!) It is the only tracker I've used that actually make sense and has a HUGE data base of food. It has:
  • Barcode scanner for foods with UPC's
  • Weight Tracker
  • Water intake
  • Progress Charts
  • Measurements
  • Vitamin tracker
  • A place for notes (So I can track my headaches, YAY! Well... not yay but ya know...:doh:)

They also have a great website if you don't have a smart phone.
I could go on but I think y'all should just go download. It's free and doesn't have ads.

Oh and I tracked 1450 calories yesterday. That's a BIG pat on the back for me because I was almost always over 2000. This is my year... I feel it! :coolgleamA:
 
Well done for tracking a whole day. I know it is not easy... Frankly the first few days are always the hardest with anything like that... lets face it - getting to grips with any computer system is always a lot harder than using it once you have got your head around how it works.
 
Congrats on tracking all day! I find measuring all my food and tracking it is the only way I can stay on track...I believe they really work if we put in the time.

There are a lot of us here that use the app/tracker. I found over the years it is the most user friendly with a very large database to pull from. If you ever decide to use it my add me as a friend...my user name is jajomo0118 :)
