Hi. My name is Terry and I'm a 24 year old male. For most of my childhood and through most of high school, I was fat. At my tallest height of 5'8" I peaked at about 195lbs. My senior year, I went on a diet and lost 50lbs so I got down to 145. The thing is, I was still kinda chubby. Ever since, it's been a big battle for me to reach my goal: that is, having a flat belly. I can't really give an exact weight because even reaching 130 a while ago, I was still kinda chubby.

So recently I've gotten down to 120lbs. Flat belly? No. At 120lbs, my BMI is 18.2, so I'm considered underweight. It amazes me how much weight I've lost and still have this last bit of annoying chub and looking in the mirror it wouldn't surprise me if it took at least another 15lbs to get rid of it. It's that bad.

I also look at people's before and after pics on this forum, and I see their results, and there's people who are SHORTER than me, both guys and girls, who weigh MORE than me, and looking at the pics, their stomach is a lot flatter than mine.

A lot of people have been telling me to burn fat and gain muscle to bring myself up within normal weight range. I don't really care about being muscular. I'm happy with the amount of muscle I have. This just sucks though. If I lose another 15lbs and finally get the look I've been wanting for such a long time, I then have to deal with people thinking I'm anorexic. On the other hand, if I don't lose any more weight, I'm gonna still have that annoying and unattractive chub on my gut. I just feel like I'm in a lose-lose situation. Have any of you experienced something like this?

Try working on your abs. I wouldn't recommend losing any more weight at this point, but maybe if you work on toning up your body a bit, your "chub" will turn into muscle, giving you a flatter stomach.

you're going to have to work on your body composition, which means, much as you may not see a need for it.. put on some muscle and see what happens.
