I didn't know where to put this, so I put it here :o)

I work on the 4th floor of a 4 story building, and one day last week someone said something to me about taking the stairs instead of the elevator, and I said there's no way I could do it without oxygen at the top.

On Friday, I was on my break, and said what the heck and tried it. I went all the way down, then walked all the way back up. It's wasn't easy, but I felt like Rocky when I got to the top:hurray:

Now I've made it a point to take the stairs every day, which I've done. Today I had my inspirational thought...on each step I'm leaving a little bit of me behind. As it gets easier, there will be less of me to leave :waving:

wow, that's great! wish i could actually sing you the rocky theme tune which is totally ringing in my head right now...lol!

having started at 350 i was ALLERGIC to stairs so i kinda know where your coming from....i really like how you say that with every step up, your leaving a little bit of you behind! that's a great attitude...and your off to a great start. WE CAN DO THIS! all the best xoxo

do you have a forum diary by the way? it helps alot being able to write all these daily achievements down everyday, so that one day you can look back and say that you've come a long way! just my 2 cents. again, all the best xoxo

I think I made an entry in the diary section, but I didn't going to make another entry until I had actually accomplished something (i.e. weight loss), but I think with my exercise, taking the steps and improved eating habits, that's a major step for me. I think it's time for an update:D

At 407, I thought there was no way I could do the stairs. I'd joke about it that I could go down but I couldn't possibly make it up. I got mad, challenged myself, and up I went, and I did it:hurray:

What's sad is that I almost look forward to going to work just so I can walk up the stairs (then when I get there I want to walk back down and go home :D

Good for you! I have a friend who makes it a point to climb the stairs to his office on the 10th floor every morning. I think I might die, I try to be inspired by his commitment to it.

Well done!
I once made the mistake of trying to run up the stairs in stead of just the usual 'climb', and when I reached halfway through, I was completely out of breath!
Trust me, set your pace when you start. Don't make the same mistake I did.
