I can't think of a witty title for my Diary

So it's the beginning of my Senior year at high school and I'm really ready for a change. I've been a weight gainer all my life, but I've gone up more than usual this summer. I really want to get back to a normal weight by the end of my school year so I can go into college feeling confident(god knows i'll need that, huh) Anyways, I also just made the varsity soccer team at my school and I would like to slim down signifigantly for that so I can be a better(faster) player. My main exercise of the day is soccer practice, which is held for 1 1/2 hours, 5 days a week. Also, walking around my highschool campus, as well as to the spot where my ride picks me up in the morning. Enough of that though, heres some stats:
Age: 17
Height: 5 10
Weight: 225 lbs.
Goal weight: 175 lbs.

My soccer practice consists of the following:
-warm-up 3/4 mile jog.
-Stretch out muscles.
-Three 40 yard sprints
-Drills and Scrimmages for an hour (this is where the hard running and long running come in)
-Three 40 yard sprints
-Stretching out muscles.

Doing this every day, monday-friday, is a good way for me to lose weight I think. It works a lot of muscle besides just the legs (shooting a soccer ball comes from you abs). Along with that, I have a 1/4 mile walk to where my friend picks me up to take me to school in the morning, and I'd say I walk around 1 mile a day during school hours.

I eat breakfast and lunch at school, so I have pretty good control of what my diet is. A usual day meal for me is this:

Breakfast:
1-3 scrambeled eggs
some potato meal (panfriad, homestyle, hash)
and 16 ounces of water.

Lunch:
a small sandwich with lettuce and tomato and pickle and a piece of turkey or salami
A piece of chicken or other meat that the school serves.
more water.

And thats about it. I'm sure i've told all of you more than you ever will care about me, but this is a diary, so i'll write what I want. I'll try to update as often as I can, and please feel free to leave a comment, or any helpful tips on how to lose weight (honestly, I know very little)

THanks.

So, my first entry. In the past three days, I've only had 1 practice, which isn't good, because not-exercising doesn't help much. One of the days it rained to hard to get outside, and the other(today) was Roshashanah, which meant no school.
They day we did have practice, though, I felt really good. When I start the 3/4 mile run at the beginning, I felt tired and out of breath, but a drank a bunch of water to redhydrate, and then I started doing better and better. I finish third in the set of sprints we had to do as a team, which I think is great because I'm probably the largest person on the team. Everything is actually going pretty well, and I actually feel pretty good to. Good enough that I don't want to go weight myself for awhile, because I'm liking how i feel now.
Two things though: I've wheedled down the times when I overeat to 2. the first one is, late at night. Whether its because of homework, or i'm just relaxing and watching tv or reading or whatever, I tend to eat a ton at night. I try hard not to, but at some point It just becomes unconscious eating.
The other time is when I'm hanging out with friends. Not when were doing something together, but if we're hanging out in a friend's basement and we get food, like corn chips, or MnMs, I find myself eating way too much and not noticing, because my mind and thoughts are distracted with other things. And I can really eat a ton then.

Any advice on how to control or manage these times? Any tips or messages would be greatly appreciated. Until next time!

Another running session today, And i'm feeling good. I actually felt myself go faster today during the sprints then I think i've ever felt before. I don't know if i'm losing any weight or not, but the feeling I have is good enough for now. Our first soccer game is next monday, and I'm pretty excited and I'm trying as hard as I can to get in the best shape I can be. I'm going to run saturday morning, which should help.
The big problem is on Sunday I'm going to watch the big football game with a couple of friends and I know we're gonna have a ton of snack food. How will I be able to resist? Even though I know it won't help me, and I'll just feel kinda bad afterwards. Maybe I'll just say I feel a little sick so i don't want to eat, but I dunno.
