I can't lose weight!!!!

About 2 months ago, I started a workout program that includes weights and cardio. My problem is that I am still the same weight as two months ago after all of this hard work!!!! When someone is doing weight training to tone, how much weight can they expect to gain from muscle mass?

chances are your diet is the problem, either eating to much or more than likely not enough.

So list your diet and lets see if we can't figure it out.

When you are stuck you have to change something

If you can provider information about your weight training and cardio it will be easier to help you.

The main reason that peole loose weight is because of their diet not because of their workout. Workout helps to loose the right weight - fat. Because when you regularly train your muscles you make you body think that muscles are imortant fot you. When you are on diet you decrease your source of energy and your body produce energy from burning fat or musleces.

As I mentioned above if you use your muscles, your body "thinks" that they are important for your living and starts melt the fat for energy need it for your daily things as breathing, walking etc.

So about eating. You must aet helthy, not not stop eating. Eat every 2-3 hours in order to have something in your stomach and to prevent cravings. The easiest diet I can recommend is grilled (backed) meat with salad (without sauce). Your muscles needs protein food, which is in meat, and salads will give you vitamins and minerals. Try to eat half a pound (200 gr) of meat and salad 5-6 times a day. Add olive oil, salt and vinegar to the salad.

Another tip - if you gain some muscles (because it is very difficult to gain big muscles) they will burn additional energy, and because you use muscles in workout, you will burn aditional energy from fat.

If you have some exact question I can give you more exact guidances.

And you made the most important thing - you decided to change your life, so you will :)

I have gone back on Weight Watchers (as of yesterday)...it has worked well for me in the past. I guess I knew the answer all along...just wanted to believe that as long as I worked out I could eat whatever I wanted to...I knew better. I will write again in a couple of months and let you all know about my progress:):)

Hi Baileyc. I joined weightwatchers 2 months ago with my sister and have lost 21 lbs so far.. slow progress is best, and you will have bad days.. the one hng I am starting to realise is that I must get back onto the diet the very next day instead of thinking that the weeks effort is now wasted and end up piggin out the rest of the week.

It's def in your diet as theleip says. If your diet was in check along with your training, you should have seen alot of progress in 2 months.
