I broke my leg

Recently I broke my leg. One of my first thoughts was that i'd lose all the effort i've put in at the gym recently...however, being on crutches seems like a good all-round upper-body workout. It seems to be working abs a bit, and triceps, almost resembling some sort of dip with each sttep.

Anyway, i was just wondering if anyone else has been on crutches or has any ideas of how good a workout the movement actually is. Also, any tips on how to make it more of a workout would be good.

i shattered my fibula and dislocated me knee, tearing a ligament, crutches are my second means of transportation.

i gotta say that you don't really wanna be screwing around on them, i would give myself at least 2 weeks of no activity then start working out upper body, but makesure that u dont do anything where ur leg is grounded, i did bench press with my broken ankle/leg and after on rep i was ready to kill my bottle of vikadin, u use ur legs for more than u think.
