I Am My Vision

To all the friends out there that I haven't had the opportunity to meet yet... I am excited to share my story... I just finished a long journey of education to prepare myself to be a CPA. I was a massage therapist for 7 years and I loved the relaxed environment, peaceful music, working barefoot, and helping people achieve awareness in their bodies, as well as their minds and deeper selves.

It was a complete change of pace to go back to school full-time and work full-time, especially pushing 30. When you are 18, you have unlimited energy and endurance. Your life force is strong and unyielding. As you approach mental wisdom, your perspectives and priorities change. You begin to value your alone time. You start protecting your inner Self. You gain clarity of purpose. You realize your health is not a given, but something to be protected and nurtured daily. You can have all the money in the world, but if you don’t have your health, you don’t have quality of life and the money doesn’t matter.

As I embarked on this new challenge, I soon discovered I was pregnant. What a (scary) divine blessing. I was the happiest, balanced, motivated, and unemotional pregnant woman you could ever meet. I embraced the rhythm of another soul surviving inside my body. I worked two jobs and never complained. WOW!!! I took a year off from school and enjoyed the miracle of life. When I got pregnant, I was 5'5" and 123 lbs. I went back to school when my son was six months old. All of a sudden, I had a 4yr old and I was pushing 170 lbs. I had never had body issues, but I found myself passing in front of a mirror and not recognizing my reflection. A new feeling for me...

OK... I'm saying to myself... without ego or justification... I am exhausted and I just haven't had the time to work out and reclaim my spirit. I'll just give it a little time... A little turned into a lot… suddenly, I was suffering from self-defeating behaviors because I had no energy, no time, and no motivation to change it. I needed a pattern interrupt.

In my professional world…what a relief... I graduated with over 150 hours of undergrad work. I can take my 4 exams now and be done. CPA accomplished. Unfortunately, my purpose still felt shallow. To manage other peoples' money is profitable, but to enable others to manage their own life - in balance, in wealth, and in faith... now that is true POWER. Power without Ego is Enlightment.

I was blessed with an answer to my weight issues, my physical and financial pain. I always wanted to be a life coach and empower others to live a fulfilled, happy, and healthy life. Now I have found my purpose, a solution to nutritional deficiencies and long-term wellness.

“There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge.” I challenge each of you to define your purpose and do what it takes to make your dreams come true.

In health to all of you, my new friends!

Greetings and Welcome!

From massage therapist to accountant to life/wellness coach. Sort of breaks new ground in holistic approach! :)

But I suppose helping people find fulfillment and happiness involves making peace and progress with all facets of life- body, mind, spirit, society, occupation and finances.

Everything has to be in balance to work well, doesn't it?

It sounds like you are on the right path. Welcome!

Balance

You are right - balance is a critical component to fulfillment. My vision is close...

I'm getting ready to start a Pilates class again, too... can't wait! Thanks for the welcome.

Make it a great day!
