I am looking for the best elliptical machine to get back in shape for under 1,000

Hi everyone,

I am looking for the best elliptical machine to get back in shape for under 1,000. I want a nice, modern, sturdy machine that I can use my ipod with. Any recommendations as far as brand, models and which stores I can go to? Or is it better to order it online? Also I will need somewhere where I can pay to have someone assemble it. I know it may be easy but I'd just rather not deal with that. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Most people wind up using these machines as clothes hangers, although they start out with the best of intentions.

Precor makes a good machine-try to find a used one that someone else is using as a clothes hanger and spend the rest of the money on nearby gym, yoga center or serious running shoes. You will need to vary your routine if you want to see real change.
Buy some hand weights too.
