Hurt myself need recovery advice

Nothing too serious. This past thurs I overdid it on the bulgarian squats, took two days off from those muscles (what are they called-semiendinosus??) and tried them again today. Well I barely did one and then I was in super pain, just about fell down. It just feels like a normal sore muscle now.

Anyway guess I'm going to have to give it a week before I try those again. Is there anything I can take, vitamin/mineral/etc which will speed recovery? Currenty I'm taking a multi + 800IU Vit E, 400mcg selenium, 400 IU vit D, 300mg magnesium, 400mg calcium, 400mcg folate, and my diet is protein heavy.

Guess I'm a bit bummed!

Were these bulgarian split squats? And exactly where is your pain? The muscle you referred to is the semitendinosus or semimembranosus, but these are hamstring muscles that attach to the medial portion of your tibia. Bulgarian Squats target the Quads, so not sure what you did. From the amount of pain you experienced I would have it checked out by a doc or Physical therapist or an orthopedic massage therapist befor I would do anymore lifting with it. Let me know how you make out.
 
I suggest not working it out for a while, icing, stretching the area that hurts and once you are comfortable, to start out light once more.
 
Yes, bulgarian split squats. It's the muscle on the inner thigh towards the back? Hell just do a split squat and you'll know the one I'm talking about haha :)

I'll try the icing, I'm doing yoga so stretching it pretty good.
