im 14 and im 6feet tall and 170pounds i dont want o be skinny. I want to be like a football player type like muscular tall. How can I not loose weight but gain muscle... becasue muscle weights more then fat... i try doing 300 crunches a day... 40pushups and play alot of basketball like 3-4hours at least... so wut else i eat alot kind of....

i will stop tho... any diet/workout plan should i buy weights or somtin... also im tryin to dunk the basketball nets with are 10feet tall like th NBA ones in september... im about 3 inches away from tauching the rim at least i want to grap it and hang on it:D

I'm pretty new; so I'm sure there are people here who will give you a much better answer, but nobody had replied yet - so I figured I'd take a stab at it.

40 Push-ups each day isn't going to bulk you up and give you that muscular look that it sounds like you want. Sure it's good for strength, but I think what you'll want is to get a full-fleged work out routine going at a gym. Someone posted a great site a while back that has a database of different work out routines, each with different approaches and different goals.

Playing B-ball is great cardio, but again, I don't think it'll bulk you up. So, basically I'd say get a nice routine you can stick too and start lifting. Also, eat a lot of protien, eat a lot, eat often, but try to eat healthy. One of them protien shakes will probably help. Start light and don't get discouraged if you don't look huge in a week or two; but start now and I garantee by the time school starts (End of August for me) - you'll be well on your way.
