Welcome to the board mate.

Firstly what are your goals? What pulls you back from not training? And whats your stats?..Bit more info and we may be able to get you back on track and keep you motivated.

My over all goal is too build up some and have a bit more deffinition. Right now I am not horibly out of shape, I am about 5'8" around 160 and I feel my biggest problem is my core... From what I have learned your core helps lot with cardio so it would seem to get a better core will help. Eating habits are not that bad lot of chicken stake and salIds some times eat fast food.. I am not real sure what is holding me back.. I guess I just need to get my head on tighter and buckel down

I hope this helps you to help me... Any thing more just let me know what

Get in shape is not enough goal incentive IMO. YOu need to visualize exactly how you want to look and go from there. Seeing yourself as lean and fit or running your fastest, or doing a race is the best way to work towards it. Then you remind yourself why you are skipping the Twinkie and eating celery or when you are exhausted why you are doing one more sprint around the track.

SMART goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable,Realistic, Timed ( meaning you have a date of reaching them). In life and in fitness, this is the best way to get where you are going. Good luck!

You need to set a specific goal (a visual look, a goal weight, a goal body fat percentage, etc).

Then you need to at the very least track your calories for a week or so. If you are truly dedicated you will transform your diet. Its not easy to do on your own, but there is a wealth of info on the net, more than enough to at least get a working diet going.

Then create a routine to do at the gym or however you will workout.

After you create a plan its easier to stick to routine than randomly making "healthy" choices. After that, its more about how much you want it. You either want to transform your body, or you want that donut...
