blood sugar is energy. when your body needs energy it goes first the stored blood sugar in your liver and muscle, but as that gets depleted, your body taps your fat reserves to maintain a good blood sugar level... i think you might be asking the wrong question. a better question would be, "how can i control my blood sugar".

your body actually has that mechanism... insulin. when you blood sugar gets too high, your body produces insulin which turns excess blood sugar into fat. here is a graph i like...
