How to make her walk briskly

My wife is 33, 79kg, 5'2". She wants to lose weight, but she has high reluctance for any exercise. Diet control alone hasn't been helping her much for months. I some times take her out for a brisk walking session, but her walking speed is less than even regular. She has no serious physical problem. The only problem is that she can't let her go through any exercise that demands effort higher than what is normal. She can't even walk briskly even though her legs are okay, but bulging though. I've tried unsuccessfully to help gradually gain her speed from slow to normal for months.

Good luck!!!

You are entering a very bad zone. No matter what you say to your wife and how nicely you say it she is going to think you are saying she is fat. Does you wife have any fit friends? Have them talk to her about some fitness ideas, maybe they can invite her along with them. Trust me stay out of it!

Also, keep in mind some people just dont want to exercise. Is it right....no, but until she changes her mind that is the way it is. She needs to get her own ass in gear!

Good luck

She definitely has to have some motivation to push herself, and you can't be the one to provide that motivation, she has to find it within herself. Good luck, that's a tough spot to be in!
