How to loose 45 lbs....Need Advice

I need some advice people, I am 30 years old, 6'0, 200 lbs with a BMI of 27.1 which is considered overweight.. I have tried the lean cuisine diets and they arent working, i have drank the Lean1 smoothie of smoothie king and their not working.... I work at a desk so I barely get time to go walking, i am in major need to loose weight to be back to 165lbs.. Can anyone give me advice on how to loose weight?

Breakfast- Dont eat Breakfast
Lunch- Chicken Ceaser Salad ( panera) or 6" ham and cheese sub from subway
Dinner- Varies depending on the night- could be pasta, chicken, ham...

How do I cut my food to make it more healthier..

I am a very picky eater and can not eat fish or seafood.. so i am not sure what I can do.

The only time I walk is at night when I walk my golden lab at night ...

1. eat breakfast
2. don't dine out
3. eat more often to control your appetite
4. EXERCISE
5. read ALL the stickies here

I'm sorry but walking your dog isn't enough when you work a desk job 8-9 hours a day. Buy a bicycle, running shoes, or join a gym. You need cardio. You need resistance training.

Above all, you'll need to make some life changing decisions including eating healthier and ignoring your picky eating. Food is fuel, fish is your friend.

Your current habits are why you're not in the shape you want to be in. You are the only one with the power and discipline to make any changes in your habits/lifestyle.

^^^^ Sound advise above.

Based on what you've said I would suggest:

- make your own food for the day. that way you know what's going into it.
- Eat every 2 - 3 hours. This will help increase metabolism, which will help your body burn more.
- Figure out how many calories your getting now and how many you need. There are lots of calculators out there. Make sure your in a caloric deficit... it's the only way you'll lose weight, which also goes with...
- Exercise!! Agreed with the above poster, instead of walking, try jogging with your dog. If you can't go to a gym, try some simple resistance stuff at home, pushups and situps. Or try going to a gym before work or at lunch.

At the end of the day it really is about life style. You have to want it enough to change.

Just my two cents

^^^agreed^^^

-Not eating breakfast is one of the worst things you can do. You're not letting your metabolism kick start in the morning.
-Again, agree on the eat more regular thing. Metabolism comes into play here again. The faster it is, the faster it processes foods you eat, the quicker it moves onto the fat you have stored.
-From what i know; The body processes proteins first (you can't store protein, i think lol), then carbs, after that its the fat. Your body will break down your fat stores and absorb it into the bloodstream to power your body.

I don't think it's a matter of 'cutting' out food, but choosing better foods and EATING BREAKFAST! Skipping meals will not help you. I agree with making your own food and taking it with you. A chicken ceasar salad is not a healthy meal in any way, there are much better options out there. If you're going for salad, choose ones with lots of veggies, lean protein, and vinaigrette-type dressings on the side (only use a very small amount of dressing!). Avoid bacon, croutons, creamy dressings, and breaded chicken. Cheese is OK, just don't go for extra cheese and avoid the processed kinds.

If you can prepare your meals at home, portion them in appropriate containers and take them with you to work, then you can take the guesswork out of trying to figure out options at a fast food place. You also have control over the ingredients!
