I am 16, 5 '8, and weigh about 185 lbs. I am a little overweight, and am not in good shape at all. I tried running tonight to see how far I could run, and I couldn't run 1/4 mile without getting out of breath. What can I do to get in shape? I am not looking to gain muscle at all, I am not really looking to lose weight ( that would be fine though ), I am just looking to gain endurance. I would like to be able to run about 2 miles ( I know this will take a lot of time to build up to). It is cold around here right now and I seldom have a good time to run due to that. But once it starts to warm up more I would like to start running more and cut down on my calorie intake. I figure I will cut down on my calorie intake ASAP. Any tips would be helpful, Thanks a lot guys!
