How to do hanging leg raises properly?

I know you can probably link me to some site, but I'd rather hear it from another person.

Does it matter how apart my hands are? What should I be feeling? What are some key points during the exercise? Etc...

uhm lol mate I think you're over analysing. exercise in general is very very simple, you hang and lift your legs either keep them locked or bend at the knee, you should feel your abs. that's it.
