How much protein can my body use at one time?

I dont see any point in taking in 100 g's at a time if my body isnt going to use them all.Im just wondering how much protein my body can use at one time.I weigh 165 lbs if that means anything.
 
who said anything about taking in 100 grams at a time? approx 1 gram per pound of body weight for the whole day spread out over 5-6 meals is a good place to start.
 
I was just using 100 g's as an example.I do usually have 5 or 6 meals a day.Im just wondering,if anyone knows.How much protein can a persons body use at a time?
 
The rule of thumb is 30g in any one sitting (per hour).

Of course, this is a generality. Different people can absorb a lot more, and it also depends greatly on the type of protein you're ingesting.
 
Thank you.I usually use whey protein and when I cant find the brand that I like,I use soy untill the whey is in stock.
 
Whey is the fastest absorbed protein, but you'll probably absorb just as much of the soy - just over a slightly longer period of time.
 
soy is good for getting man boobies! (the bad kind lol)
