How much fruit to eat per day?

Hi how much fruit should you eat per day? iI know about the 5 a day and i eat 2-3 apples 2-3 oranges and 2-3 bananas and sometimes some strawberries per day. But they are full of sugar and isnt too much sugar for you bad if your trying to lose weight?
 
I count calories and i manage to get anywhere from 3-6 fruits in a day with my other foods. They are not bad at all as long as you dont overindulge on them if thats possible. But eat them plain, dont put anything else on them as some people put salad dressing on theyre veggies and sugar on theyre fruits, its alot of unnecessary calories.
 
Well you may eat fruit without any limit because it is not harmful. But don't mix fruit with any other combination like salad and desserts. Eat it simple and without any ingredient and take benefit of vitamins.
 
Too many simple carbohydrates (sugars) can definitely hamper weight loss, but it depends on your overall diet, not just the amount of fruit that you eat. Fruit is certainly healthier than many other foods out there, just try to stick with fruits that have a lower glycemic index or lower glycemic load score (ie. eat those that have more complex carbs, rather than simple carbs). Tropical fruits and melons tend to have higher simple sugar content (high glycemic index score), so try to eat fewer of these. Stick with those fruits with more complex sugars (lower glycemic index & glycemic load), such as apples, berries, avocado (limit your serving!), grapes, nectarines, citrus fruits, guava, peaches, plums, pears, rhubarb, and strawberries. Bananas fall somewhere in the middle, so just try not to have too many... maybe cut down to one per day at most. But like I said before, it depends on your overall diet, so a banana is preferable over chips or most other snacks!

Hello josh123. I think you should eat fruit not in a limit because fruits are very necessary for our health and body so eat as much you can . i also eat fruits daily not in a limit but eat. Sometimes eat more and sometimes eat small in quantity.
