Jen, I'm sorry but somehow I missed this post over the Christmas break. When I did Cohen's last year it was $680 but I think it is now $750. It is money very well spent believe me. It's worth every dollar! I had tried just about everything and wasted a lot of money over the years in a vain attempt to lose weight & keep it off. Cohen's was the first to actually work for me & to give me the skills to keep the weight off. I wish you well on your weight-loss journey. Don't despair. There is an answer, cheers, Cate.

Cate thank you so much for your reply, i know i don't know you but your reply means alot. i have had the worst xmas ever because of my weight and i am feeling awfully alone. the clinic reopens on the 7th january and i am going to book in to see them asap after that. my boyfriend said that he will go me halves in the program as he is desperate to see me get better, i know i sound like a victim but i'm just losing hope that i will ever win this battle with my weight and body image, this isssue has ruled my life for as long as i can remember and i can't imagine life without it, although i long too....
i never thought i would be in this place and it is breaking my heart, tonight i believe that i will do cohens, find my inner strenth again, believe in life and happiness again and go on to help others like you have!

happy new year and congrats on your success, treasure it

Jen, Your life will change for the better. It's lovely that you have the support of your boyfriend as that really helps. If I can do it sweetie, anyone can. I will be in touch with you regularly. In the meantime read through as many posts as you can. Look at the Cohen's website, read the testimonials. You will be writing your own one day and you will never look back. Prepare for Cohen's before you actually start. When you see your plan shop for it, be prepared. Clear out the rubbish from your house. Always be prepared with portioned food in your freezer. It's one of the biggest keys to success. Take care and be positive. We are all entitled to be healthy & happy and to be loved. Life is about to change, cheers, Cate.

Update..... I have booked in for my presentation on Saturday. the clinic reopened today after the xmas break and when she answered i said woo hoo, i think she must have thought i was drunk or crazy, oh well.
I will definately sign up on the spot and get my blood tests done as quickly as possible so i can get going. In the meantime i am eating and drinking everything in sight which may be the wrong attitude but when i start the program i will be committeed 100% and i will have gotten my last food obsessions out of the way.
can not wait to start this adventure!
i am pretty sure that the scales will be about 87kg but could be more???
last time i weighed i was 82.9kg but that was a dress size ago, it is is scary how quickly you can go up dress sizes but after i start, my dress size will be coming down for the first time in years and i will enjoy it.
thanks to those who share their journey with us on this forum as it is very inspirational to those who are looking at changing their lives too
i will start a diary once i start my program

Great news Jen. Before you know it you will be "Slim Jen"!! I love your enthusiasm. It's infectious. I'm looking forward to following your progress. Once you get your plan, make sure you get really prepared before you actually start. Give things away if necessary. After a while it won't matter as much but at the start it's best not to have chocolates & cakes etc "talking" to you. I'll let you know more of what I did when you actually get your plan so hat it's easier to explain. In the meantime congratulations on making the decision, cheers, cate.

Hi Missmakeover,
I started the same time as you and at weighing a little more than you. Wondering how you are doing after the first couple of weeks? I'm feeling good now and down 6.5kgs so even better for that!
Hope it's all going well -please let us know. Del xx

hi all,

thanks for the support you guys are great. i've been hanging out a bit on the new you forum which is inspirational too.

i booked in sat and weighed in at 88.7kg yikes....

anyway i had my blood tests last thurs so i should be getting my program any day now. as soon as i get my program i'm going to do a shop, buy some kitchen scales and zip lock bags and start freezing my correct portions, i'll be honest, i'm not looking forward to being so organised but i just have to do it and from the sounds of the results on this forum it will be worth being anally organised.

i'm wondering, do most people go off coffee completely while on cohens or just have it black? i can't decide, i've tried it black a few times and haven;t really enjoyed it but i could get into it with a bit of perserverence.

hope everyone is well

jen

Hi Jen, Go black. You'll get used to it quickly. I drank mostly herbal tea, especially peppermint & still do. I have one coffee in the morning- never instant. I can't stand milk in coffee any more. I don't even enjoy a cappuccino any more which still amazes me. The being organised makes the program lots easier. You'll get into the swing of it! Cheers, Cate.
