I started in July and have lost 52 lbs. so far. I try to walk 6 or more miles a day and reduce my calories to 1000 a day because I am 65 and dont need but 1600 a day or at least that is what I started out at. I was 220 lbs in july this year and had stopped smoking last year and have reached 168 so far as of today. I am 5ft 4in so I need to be at about 140. I find looking in the mirror helps me keep on doing the things I need to do to reach my goal. I also buy new clothes that I dont think will fit and try them on every once in awhile till they do. I have lost 4 sizes in my jeans and 4 sizes in my shirts too. I know the year isnt over yet but we can always update our lost at the end of the year, looking back as to what we have done.
