So I'm a newcomer here, hello and such :sifone:

I am 16 years old, 5''2 and a little over 10 and a half stone.
I want to lose two stone so I'm at a good weight for my height and age, I looked at a website and it said I could achieve this in 7 months?! It seems so long, so I want a second opinion.

On the 5th of this month I have started running/jogging exercises on the cross-trainer machine for an hour a day, as well as a few stretches and sit-ups to warm up. I've been drinking atleast 4litres of water a day as well.

So what do you lot think? When will I be able to achieve this weight loss?
Also, if you have any tips and advice for me please PLEASE say them. I want as much feedback as possible!

PS Sorry if I've posted in the wrong section, I'm a newcomer.
Thanks guys

so 28lbs devide that by 3 so 9 weeks totally doable i think probably a little longer than 9 weeks

We are all different, but personally it took me about a month of a strict diet and 30 minutes of cardio everyday to lose 10 pounds. So 3 months or so for 28 pounds (2 stone). It might take a bit longer than that, but fortunately 7 months seems like more than enough time to lose 2 stone.

We all want to lose weight as quickly as possible, but remember that it is a lifestyle change... not a diet. So the process will be gradual, but adopting new habits will make it easier to maintain when you reach your goal.

I've lost 11 pound in a week

you can lose more than two pounds in a week. I've managed to lose 11 pounds under a week. here's how I achieved it:
1. joined a local gym
2. I joined this great website that gives you personal exercise target to achieve in a week. (LINK REMOVED)
3. I started calories counting, I ate below 1000 calories a day.
4. I started a good cardio exercising regime.

I go the gym 3 times a week, I spend about 2 hours doing cardio. ( bike and treadmill)

It's amazed me, all you need to do is eat less calories and burn off more than 500 calories a day.. really simple. please don't starve your self or go on silly diets. just eat under 1000 calories and do lots of intensive exercises.
I'm a full time uni student and I don't have much time to even out my gym session, so I'm forced to do intensive exercise on my free days, intensive exercise isn't really recommendable but if your stretched for time... that's all you can do. also, on the days I can't go to the gym I do 30 mins walk.

No matter what anyone tells you, eating below 1000 calories a day can never be good for you.

Ok, you don't feel that you just countered yourself as Cantona said?

Don't Starve yourself but eat under 1000 calories a day?

Please don't suggest that. Really don't suggest that. Under 1000 calories a day is drastic for anyone. Please take the time to read the forum stickies that has plenty of REAL and solid advice.

Also, if your username and first smiley is anything to go by... that shit won't help you lose weight man.
