How long of a wait to see results?

Hello,
I am a beginner, just about a week and a half into it and I'm frusterated. I have measured myself with a measuring tape and have weighed myself but I have not lost anything yet. I know I am doing the right exercises and weight lifting, and eating the way i should with 6 meals a day and staying in my calorie range to lose fat and also drinking over a gallon of water a day. Tom Venuto (BFFM) and Bill Phillips (Body For Life) are my two programs I follow so i know I am doing things right.
Am I just too anxious? Does it usually take at least two or three weeks to start seeing some fat loss? What have you all experienced when you first started? Maybe I just need to be patient and consistant and then after a few weeks I will start seeing results. What is your input?

P.S. Patience has never been a virtue of mine but I think I better change that if I want to succeed!

The Bill Phillips book is good just stick to it. Make sure the 6 meals don't get to big portion wise, that will slow you down. And keep up the cardio.

A lot of people talk more about weight training for fat loss these days but nothing has been more dramatic for my fat loss than the treadmill. Find out your fat burning target heart rate for your age and stick on it for 30 to 60 minutes. The best times are in the morning on an empty stomach and after weight training. Those are the times when the body burns body fat the quickest because there's no sugar in the blood to fuel the cardio so the body goes for body fat. The key is to keep the heart rate in the good range if you go to fast the body will not be able to utilize body fat fast enough as fuel and will switch to alternate fuel sources.

Portion control and cardio!!!
Portion control and cardio!!!
Portion control and cardio!!!

p.s. get use to being patient, this is a process not an event.

Try working hard for the next two weeks, and don't measure/weigh/stare at yourself in the mirror at all during the two weeks. If you're working hard you should atleast see some results when the time is up.
