Im 17 y/o Male...I've been trying to lose weight and did 2 miles on the treadmill earlier when I got from school. I didn't eat anything afterwards.

But after waiting a few hours, I just fixed 2 eggs and 1 can of tuna in water (tuna= 100Calories).

I scrambled both eggs, but one of the eggs I removed the yoke. Then I cooked the tuna in with the eggs and sprinkled some Cayenne pepper on them.

I heard Cayenne Pepper is a good metabolism booster and it helps your health, also I fixed the tuna because I heard tuna was healthy, and it had Omega 3 in it.

I had a cup of cold water, filtered with my BRITA water filter.

How much longer will my metabolism keep burning, so that I can loose more weight. Also, how long does it take for Metabolism levels to increase? My metabolism has always been low.

(earlier I ate a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast w/ water, Lunch at school was like a ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, on subroll/ With low fat white milk)

You're not going to increase your metabolism significantly. It doesn't work that way.

What you need to do is start paying very close attention to what you're eating. I'd suggest registering for a free account on or and starting to log your food. This will let you see how many calories you're eating and how your nutrition levels are breaking down. Once you know that, you'll be able to see more clearly where you can make adjustments, cut back, change your nutrition, etc.

It sounds like you are doing some pretty healthy things. As KaraCooks says, keep track of what you are eating. Metabolism seems like an easy fix, but weight loss that lasts is built on good daily eating habits and exercise.

How did you come to be overweight?

Around 3rd grade I started getting really big, and the summer of my 8th grade going into 9th, I gained alot of weight eating fast food, because I was at a family members house, and I got whatever I wanted and they bought fast food like everyday.
