I started my journal about 10 months after starting weight training. I wish I had written down more from that first year to see the little weights....
Now, I religiously track my reps and weight amounts in a journal. I also photograph myself once a month.
The dramatic stage seems to be over. I cut massive amounts of fat (5 unknown) and increased muscle. Visible growth now seems to only be apparent on a monthly or 5 week check. Although, my individual set amounts (kgs) have all increased from 5-30% in the last month. (Mostly due to refocused hardwork and the virtual elimination of cardio.)
So, what is the true measure? When I see 5-30% in one month (yes 1 month), but not as much visible mass, is that REALLY progress? The visible change is a motivator - the numbers are honest, but not really the same as looking in the mirror and getting excited for the next session.
Thanks
