I work fulltime 40+ hours where I just sit all day, and I go to college fulltime as well. I want to lose the weight, just hard with time and stuff could use some advice, How can I do this? any advice would help

Miss Nevin,
I know it seems very hard but if we can get that extra hour watching tv or doing something that is not for our benefit, why can't we switch it and put it as time for workout? I have some workout DVD's that I plan to use. I have like 30-40 Lbs overweight to recover my pre-pregnancy weight, now it seems very hard doing it with my 3mo baby girl, alone and studying but human being have that capacity to change their world, why can't we do that?
I also need support, let's help each other, it's just one day at a time, eating well, working out, doing things for ourselves and definitely to recover our healthy weight will make us happy persons cause at least this overweight is not helping me at all.

See you around, we can do this sweetie, let's do it!

Charito.

How much time do you get for lunch at work? Is it an hour? If so maybe you could go for a quick workout, maybe a job, or walking? I have a few friends who don't have time other than their lunch break to work out and thats just what they do, they work out on their lunch. What time do your kids go to bed? Since they are little I am assuming they go to bed some what early? You could do a workout DVD after you put them to bed.

I know it sounds hard having kids and working full time but when there is a will, there is a way. Ensure healthy eating habits to promote weight loss. Its very possible to lose the extra weight. You mention you have no energy to do it. Girl, after I had my son I weighed 240lbs [pre-pregnancy I was 155-160]. I started working out 6 weeks after I had him and since have dropped 75lbs [Its been 10 months since I had him]. I also didn't have any energy at all, mind you my knee's hurt from all that extra weight I had on my body but I started off slowly... Within a few days I started to get my energy back and since than I haven't stopped since.

I have to be honest I have a hard time with losing weight I work nights and go to school during the day also work weekends.. and i end up just eating whatever I can eat and I eat mostly at night.. and you would think with the running around at work and between classes and kids and work but nothing seem to help. I stopped drinking soda, and I stopped eating candy and nothing still nothing....
Just feeling like even when I try it dont do nothing..

Just a few ideas

Meals
- Plan all your dinners, precook, freeze meals and healthy snacks. If you have to spend one night a week doing this when the kids are asleep it will be worth it.
- Write a shopping list based around your planned meals and stick to it.
- No junk food in the house.

Exercise
- Schedule exercise, have a back up plan eg. dvds, free weights in front of telly etc.
- Park as far away from everything whenever you go anywhere in the car and push the kids in a pram and full speed.

Good luck

You have to make eating right and exercising a priority. If it's important to you, you'll find a way to work it in. Also, try to get a good night's sleep. I know this may be hard due to your schedule, but studies have shown that people who are sleep deprived struggle to lose weight b/c their bodies aren't functioning the way they should.

You sure have a lot of responsibilities, and I wish you all the best. :)
