ok well first off i had surgery on my wisdom teeth a few days ago (weighed 134ish). and the last few days iv been completely sedentary (compaired to the 20 or so miles i rid my bike each day, and pullups and curling..), and to top it off i couldnt (still cant yet) eat solid foods. so all week iv been eating tons of yogurt, snak pak puddings, and dreaded milkshakes.. =o.... i thought i would have gained a lot. but today i weighed in and i was in at my final set goal weight of 131! ....?

all i am saying, is how the heck did i go from 134 (being very active), to sedentary eating tons of junk and loose weight in like 3 days, and end at my final goal ??

????:hurray::hurray::party::confused::confused:

did any measurements change?

I doubt you lost 3lbs of pure fat -

theories
it's possible that since you were on a liquidish diet that when you weighed yourself -you had -- how to put this delicately - far less solid waste in you that you normally would have..
its possible that since your diet was so low in protein, that you lost some muscle...

i'd give it a week when you're back in the swing of things and see where you are

hmmmm...this is interresting. See, I've been doing a lot of studying on weight loss and the different methods of weight loss. The thing is, this is very common. I had two surgeries within a month two months ago. My begining weight was 152. After the surgery, it was 145. Personally, I believe that because I had to eat nothing but liquids for a month, I lost the weight, which was only partially true. In my research, I've discovered why...see, when you go from eating 3 square meals, or even 6 or 7 small meals a day, to straight liquid, your body goes into starvation mode. You are not getting the nutrients your body needs to survive. The nutrients that you were more than likely eating everyday, you are not eating now that you are on a liquid diet. Even if you think you are, you really aren't getting the same nutrients.

So, your body will go into starvation mode, even after a 24 hour period.
If your body isn't getting these things it needs to survive, it will start taking them from other places, such as muscle. Believe it or not, your muscle has a lot of power, and a lot of energy. Tell me this, has your energy level gone down since you have been on the liquids?

There's a great reason for that! Your body is taking what it needs from your muscle and using it for the things you need. If your energy level is dropping, and I'm not just talking about drug related drops, it's because your body is in starvation mode...

Does that make sense???
