How changing workout effects metabolism

Ok guys I've heard a lot about keeping your exercise new and fresh instead of stale. So would changing the H.I.I.T I do every day make me see an improvement?

For example
Mon: H.I.I.T on bike 25min
Tues: H.I.I.T on tredmill 25min
Wed: H.I.I.T on rowing machine 25min
thurs: H.I.I.T on stepping thinggy machine


Would that be more effective for burning fat than
a) Only changing form of exercise per week? as in this week bike, next week tredmill, following week rowing machine?

b) Just staying on the same machine?
 
How are you defining HIIT and what else are you doing with regards to workouts? like strength training?

Nutrition is also a big factor in losing fat...
 
I always heard that doing different routines every day or every other day is better than the same all the time. But I'm no expert.
 
I change the routines on the elliptical but I don't use other machines very often. I'm still working up to jogging on the treadmill.
 
Changing workouts doesn't ramp up metabolism the way you're thinking.

Pick a good routine in the context of your goals. A balanced one too. It should also take into account recoverability.

Stick with it and increase the intensity when you feel up to it.
 
I'm a noob as well, but I've read alot of people do phasing. Not only to help from gaining a tolerance from certain supplements, but also because your body figures out how to do more, with less. If I remember right, he was talking about how eating less, and doing more cardio, does nothing for your health, but instead your body figures out where to get alternative fuel sources and keep going.

Most of the things I've read on HIIT, people do like 3 days of it a week. I, like you, would be willing to do it basically every day if needed. But I'm still in search of when and how often to do HIIT for my certain situation as well. Sorry if this was useless.:willy_nilly:
 
True HIIT every single day is not only useless in most situations, it's also counterproductive in them too.
 
I think the question is about your body getting used to exercises. If I use the stairclimber every day am I getting as much out of my workouts as I can? If I alternate between the stairclimber, eliptical, and aerobics, will I actually be working my body harder because I'm switching it up?
 
If you are progressing in terms of intensity, you are improving. Doesn't matter what you're doing.
