hello,
i am a 27 year old male, 5'7. in April of 2011 I weighed 235. As of yesterday, I weighed 156. I did this by cutting out sodas, cheese, milk, white breads, fast foods, etc. I eat slow oats + blueberries in the morning. a tuna or lean meat sandwich on whole wheat bread with a piece of fruit for lunch. chick peas with brown rice and a vegetable for dinner. mainly drink water + green tea. and snack on light popcorn or almonds or fruit when i get cravings.
i only walked for the first 8 months. then i incorporated pushups. so i walk maybe 1.5-2 hrs a day, and do pushups every other day. i haven't jogged or anything (yet.). anyway, i've gone down from a 42 waist to a 34. i feel great. and can't believe i've lost as much as i have and never hit the gym/done any tough cardio. it's been slow and steady. which i think is the best way?
but for whatever reason, i've let it all go in the past day. completely. for instance, today...instead of my oats with blueberries i ate three pouched eggs (i never eat the yolk if i eat eggs. today i did.), two pieces of toast with butter (i haven't eaten butter in over a year), 5 pieces of Canadian bacon (i never eat bacon. but my roommate offered. and i rationalized in my mind that CB is healthier than regular bacon. but it's still fried meat!). and coffee with lots of cream (if i have coffee, i just do black.). then for lunch i had about a dozen perogies (boiled) topped with fried onions and sour cream. then for dinner...ugh. two of those healthy solution frozen dinners (which are still like 7 grams of fat each plus 700 grams of sodium) and about a half a box of triscuits with about half a brick of cheese (haven't had cheese in almost a year.) as an after-snack. add to the fact that i haven't walked or done pushups in about 3 days, i feel like crap.
...
how much damage do ya'll think i've done here?
...
secondly. i eat chickpeas almost every night as a substitute for meat. is this healthy? i always eat it with brown rice. is brown rice as healthy as i think it is?
i eat a lot of tuna (light, in water). should i cut back due to sodium/mercury?
