Horrible Splurge weekends

Overall Im still losing weight on average after getting past the initial weekend weight gain.

Other than slowing my progress, do I have anything else to worry about with 5-10 lb a weekend fluctuations?

I'm pretty sure a Great majority of that is just due to a higher carb intake on the weekends, and very low carb during the week.
 
1lb = 3500 calories (reality is slightly different )
5- 10lbs of weight gain is A LOT of additional calories so I strongly suspect that it's not fat gain.. but a scale fluctuation that's caused by water retention from excess sodium or too much boozing, or the like... and in afew days returning to your old good habits, the number will drop back down...
 
yeah... its been dropping down each time, and also lower. so i'm still making progress. But other than it taking longer is there anything else i should be concerned about?
 
Consistency should be a concern... becuase it's that whole rest of your life thing..

but you also live in the real world and you should allow yourself some time to play... and relax a bit -just as long as your play day doesnt tur innto 2 weeks of nothig but crap.

the scale shouldnt be the controlling force as to your progress -it's going too fluctuate... as long as your clothes are fitting... and and you're liking what you see in the mirror -then it's all good.

However, if you're out getting hammered every single weekend and beer goggles are having you make some bad choices with the ladies ... then there might be other issues you want to look at... :D
 
lol not exactly. Its the new girlfriend. going out to eat, drinking some beers, etc. She's a little ectomorph and can eat whatever she wants with no consequences. I make better choices, than i used to... but still let a little loose.

I'm at a consistent .5 lb a week rate of loss, thats good enough for me. everything else is slowly coming in to play as well.
