Home gyms - powertec

I just recently bought a new machine, and now I am wanting an opinion or two on Powertec's leverage machines. I bought it because I had a lot of room and I truthfully enjoy working out by myself so I guess the safety sake played big into my decision. But now that I have it, I kind of wish I would have just bought a smith machine or a regular cage for squat/bench/dl. So whats everyones opinions of these things?

if i had to choose between a smith or Leverage system, I'd go with the leverage system. However, between leverage and squat rack...hands down squat rack with a FID bench. Free motion is the way to go, and the Powertec Work Bench can be very limiting: the press arm doesn't follow a natural path, the lat pull-down needs work, I dislike any standing leg curl, or seated leg extension, the ab station is a little ineffective, etc. BUT, it has one of the best machine-defined squat stations that I've ever used.

I like the power rack system, without the lat tower, dont think that lat tower is worth 499.00. I was gonna get the leverage system, glad I didnt cause I tried it at ****s didnt like the range of motion

 That looks like something out of a torture chamber from the middle ages! But like Functional I would still prefer something that would allow free motion. Power cage all the way... it's just as safe and a lot cheaper too.

If you are not happy with this, try and resell it. Some time ago I bought an used bench that I regretted the minute I used it for the first time. Sold it the week after WITH A PROFIT! You might not be able to to this because I assume you bought it new. But I guess you could end up keeping some money, even after buying a power cage.
