Home gym recommendations?

Hi weight-lifting experts,

I want to start doing some weight lifting to get stronger. I am not looking to get huge muscles...just some more muscle.

If possible, I would like to do my workouts at home. I don't have much space and I don't want to spend a huge amount of money. I was thinking about getting a basic weight-lifting bench and a pair of handheld, adjustable weight dumbbells. Is this sufficient to work most of the muscles? (I don't care about leg muscles as much because I do jogging and biking.) If not, what would be a better idea to get? Also, what non-dumbell exercises would one need to do to supplement this (for example, pullups and situps)?

Thanks.

When space was a concern for me I used a folding incline\decline bench and some dumbells. It wasn't fancy just a bench and and three sets of adjustable 30 lb dumbells. The range of excercises and lifts I managed out of that set up was broad, the bench worked for ab excercises and several lifts and I did everything from lunges to farmers walk with the dumbells when not on the bench. The best part was it folded up and could be stored in a closet or under a bed.
