anyone else have a tough time staying fit during the holidays like me?? i always see it when i take pics...i work hard all year to get in shape, then i usually blow it this time of year....how do i stop this...anyone got any tips??

I have been eating good for the most part, but im eating what i want on christmas...if theres a party or something, i just bring my own food and eat the things that I know i can there, like fruit or whatever...most people are understanding about that...thats the best advice i can give you...

i stay fit during the holidays because i make sure i do not fall victim to holiday foods. Make sure you exercise each day, infact christmas shopping is pretty good exercise :)

Enjoy the season to a point, but try not to fall victim to too many pastries and cakes

good luck

saw on a celeb fitness show that its all about being able to curb your appetite...for instance, eat the holiday food one day a week...then work out and eat healthy the rest...that way you get your fix while not overdoing it....i tried/trying it this year and am not doin too bad =)

i have tried that curbing your appetite approach too...worked well for me in the past, this year i kinda slipped up lol...but i feel you can learn some good tips and techniques from those fitness shows...i am also obsessed with them, regardles if they are good or not lol...im looking forward to watching diettribe on liftetime...should be entertaining with jessie pavelka leading the way: ...that one on discovery channel also looks very entertaining, i think its called national body challenge

came across the diettribe show the other night and started to watch it...didn't know it was going to be that emotional...i started to really pull for these women to achieve their goals...actually made me kinda wanna excersise instead of watching it...however, i didn't tho lol

Why should anyone just say no to crap food for the rest of our lives... Yeah, at the beginning of a "diet" we should just stay focused on a goal, but eating some extra things that we really like should be ok every once in a while... and I guess that's the key. Especially when you are closer to your goal weight and you have more wiggle room. I eat whatever I want one day a week and still lose weight... it's just not as fast and I have to work out a little harder
