Holiday plan! will it work?? maybe optimistic

Hi there, New to this site and new to this bulking and cutting routine.

I have been working out on and off in the past 3 years, this past 12 months i have hit the gym hard. I am 23 years old, 6ft 1 and weight (at current) 13.5 stone. i dont know what my body fat is because if i am honest, i dont know how to measure it! :S

Biceps/Tri's/chest/shoulders/back/legs doing well developing well (mass)

My abs are hidden under a layer of 'puppy fat' but they are there and slightly visible. I have a holiday (beach as you guessed) in 4 months and my intentions were to bulk for 2 months and cut 2 months. Is this possible or is it just best to cut for the next 4 months. I have been bulking for the past 6 months (not as strict as i could be) but my metabolism is very fast which works against me.

as an example of workout - briefly is:

Mon - Chest/Tri's (pyramid/drop set alternative - weekly)
Tues - Back/Bi's
Wed - rest day
Thurs - legs
Fri - Should

All major (chest/back/legs) consist of 4 Exercises
All minors (bis/tris/shoulders) consist of 3 exercises

Currently no ab work.

Is it best to cut for 4 months - get those abs showing and define rather than lean up a bit more and try to cut in time?

Thanks in advance to all....

sorry just to clarify, obviously to get those abs showing i would start ab training properly!

If people suggest to cut for 4 months...whats the best thing to do with my current eating plan. my caloric intake is 3000 cals with 105gm protein including shakes. regards

I doubt you need 4 months cutting with your weight and height being what it is. What works for me is making my diet up of protein and fat and only have carbs that have a roughly equal amount of fibre in so almost no net carbs. You still need to be burning about 300 ish calories more than you consume. i also throw in some slow and steady cardio particularly in the evening ( not enough to waste muscle) just purely for burning calories.
Don't worry too much about working the abs too much. 3 sets of something like bicycle crunches at the end of a workout is plenty. Do however focus on your core as this will make more difference. Things like planks, renegade rows, russian twists are great. 3 sets of one of them each time should be good. And deadlifts are pretty awesome for your core.
I would suggest 1 month of strict cutting is all you need.
All the best

To be fair I did say what works for me. And then suggested some useful exercises. Was it the 1 month you disagreed on or the diet?
Many people will only need a month to cut especially if they have bulked cleanly and have a fast metabolism. And doing a Ketosis diet is an accepted way of cutting fast.

13.5 stone is 189 pounds which puts him just under 25 on the BMI, which I know isn't the most useful but it shows he doesn't need to spend too long cutting. I still think especially for someone with a fast metabolism that 3 months clean bulking and 1 month strict cutting would be produce the best end result. I can generally cut after a bulk in just over 2 weeks.
