Hi eveyone!

I'm Anna and new to the forums. I weight about 160 and need to get down to a healthy weight of 120. I have Lupus and gained all my weight from steroid use over the past 8 years (I'm 28.) At this point though never getting the weight off is mostly my fault, but Lupus and the meds for it sure make it a challenge. I decided I must do this after thinking I need to do this for years. I hate how I look, how I feel.

Can't wait to meet you all!

Hello Anna

Welcome to the forum, its a big place with lots of members and if you get stuck into some of the threads, you will soon find yourself well on your way to happiness.

Hate is a strong word but often hatred can build up enough resolve to get us moving and into action. Let the hate go though and start loving yourself and get out of the vicious circle. If you monitor your exercise and weight loss carefully, you can see where you are slipping up and what you may need to do to get on track properly.

Wishing you loads of luck and I feel if you put the effort in here on the forum and in your life, you will win and be back to your lovely self that you are happy with. x :hurray:

Hello and wlecome Anna!

What type of lupus do you have?

My mother had lupus and lived with treating the symptoms for over 40 years after diagnosis. I also have a friend who has lupus...but she has a completely different type than my mother had.

Steroids will make weight loss more of a challenge but it's not insurmountable.
