hiya,

im 22 from england and this site looks so awesome. i used to come and read posts in the past while i was loosing weight and now i decided to join.

well done to all those people who have lost weight! i was loosing, but now im on a bloody plateau and i think ill be getting fat and lazy again, sometimes life just sucks.

Hey now, cheer up! Stop beating yourself up because things will never change if you have that attitude!

The fact you've lost weight already is brilliant, you've done really well. It sucks to hit a plateau, but it happens to everyone, I guess it's like a test...if weight loss is what you really really want you'll push through it!

Go for it, and stop being so hard on yourself, I used to always be like that until I realised it did me no good!

Bah! Wrong mindset, mint. You know how much work goes into losing weight, so why waste all that energy, time, and money (depending if you paid out of the bum for a gym membership, etc) by allowing yourself to gain? Bugger it. You deserve better than that. Turn things around and tweak your "program." It's really that easy. If you have questions, just ask and people (usually there are a few others who are more knowledgable than most... aka fitness/ nutrition brainiacs) are likely to give helpful advice. Good luck with it.

Sheryl is spot on.

Too often reach a plateau (everyone does) and keep doing the same thing they've been doing, expecting it to eventually work.

1 of 3 things happen:

1) It works, which is rare.

2) It doesn't work and you keep banging your head off a wall, which is a little less rare than number 1, but still rare nonetheless.

3) You give up and get fat, which is common.

It's like the chicken or the egg way of thinking. Does a plateau create yo-yo dieting? Or does specific ways of dieting create yo-yo dieting?

Regardless, it sounds like it's time for a change in routine. How have you been going about your weight loss so far?

haha yeah;i think im on no3 now. dangggggggggggggggg. im still stuck on the same point on the scale but now because of this stupid plateau iv kinda started eating the "wrong foods" and its actually also because im feeling too damn hungry now.but im planning on changing the intensity of my workouts and def keeping a food diary to make me realise what a binge eater im becoming once again.

thanks sheryl and everyone else who posted in this topic, its great alwayz getting support from people who are also going through the same journey:)

Let me ask ya this; how have you been dieting?

Also, to track your intake I suggest

oh thanks for the site :)

um im actually quite ashamed to say but i was eating far less than 1100 calories, say about 500, and then half way through my weight loss i realised how i cut out too much calories

So what did you do once you made that realization?

lol,
because my weight was like dropping i decided to continue with the same routine because i thought had i change it, it'll affect my weight loss. but reading the other topic u created [which u asked me to read] made me realise even more where i am to stand right now.

and as for your question, right now iv started eating more calories, sometimes incorrect stuff but i eat in moderation [i hope], esp cos im feeling so hungry like every few hours.
