:seeya: Neewbie here! :p OHHHHHHH lets see! I could say I have tried diets but not for long periods at a time. I guess we all want a quick fix. The last 4 weeks I have been exercising using winsor pilates and using resistance bands. Before I would down a 2litre of diet coke a day + eat large amounts of carbs and have my nightly snack of chips. THE WHOLE BAG! Now I don't eat junk food at all! I quit drinking pop which was really hard for me. All I drink is water. I try to drink 2litres a day. I am 5'1 @ 132lbs. 132lbs doesn't sound that much, but for my height it is. I just don't understand!?! I am making all the right choices eating the right things at the right time and my weight wont budge! I see a bit of a difference in some clothes but the scale doesn't move. My BF says he notices a bit of a change but I wonder if he just says that cause he know how hard I have been working! UGH! I just feel stuck! Any suggestions? I need all the support I can get! :):)

At your weight it's going to be harder to lose lbs by the scale, even as your body gets in better shape from the exercise.

You really really have to watch your intake carefully and manage your calories. At your weight, I'd say 1300-1400 calories a day is the maximum you should be eating in order to lose healthily. That's tricky, too, because you don't want to go under 1200 either, in order to be healthy.

That's the biggest problem with trying to lose weight when you're petite and already down in the low 100s - calorie control is so crucial.

Thanks for the advice!

I am only to assume you have the best metabolism in the world, because if I were to eat an entire bag of chips nightly and that much pop in a day I would be alot heavier than I already am lol.

So I think you've got an excellent starting point. Also if you weren't very active before and suddenly you become active you'll probably see some more muscle toning and mass. The scale, IMO, is a horrible judgement of progress. Have you considered taking your measurements to get a better feel for your progress? Maybe not even taking exact measurements.. but even just taking notice to how your clothes fit will probably do the trick. :)
