HIIT problem

ok, so I've been doing HIIT 3 times a week (m,w,f) on my elliptical for about 3 weeks now. When i first started i was able to get through 10 sets of 30 sprint on 1 min jog, jogging at resistance level 2 and sprinting at level 3. but in the last week or so, my performance has drastically decreased. friday i could only make it through 7 or 8 sets, before i felt like jello, and yesterday i only made it through 5. any ideas as to why this is happening? i'm really confused and feel like i am taking a huge step backwards, i also feel like HIIT doesn't really do much for me, does it really work better than grinding out long sessions of cardio? i also do a full body workout tues, thurs, saturday. any ideas?
(sorry if this isn't the right category to file this under)

Try only performing HIIT twice a week, as opposed to three times. Three times a week is alot. Also, try performing HIIT on the bike, stairmaster, or treadmill. Change it up a bit.

I think your overtrained. MWF you do HIIT, T-TH-S you do full body? That's ALOT on your legs, and your body. I would continue with your full body, do HIIT twice a week, and maybe throw in one low intensity cardio session.

Hope that helps :)

thanks stew, i'll give that a try, my full body isn't real hardcore, i don't belong to a gym, have you ever heard of the power 90, its a workout video thing that uses resistance bands, but it hits all the major muscle groups in the workout, but i you're right i might be overtraining some too, i'll cut back a bit and see what happens.
