I am a newb to this forum but not to weight loss. I am 6'1 and use to weigh 290lbs and with a combo of weight watchers and running I managed to drop down to 207 lbs in less than 10 months. It was easy. Over 50 percent of my diet was thru the Taco Bell drive thru. I should be getting the credit vs the lady on the new commercials. To this day all the people at my local Taco Bell are amazed at my success.

Long story short I hit a plateau at 235 with WW program. I started running 3 miles every day. I dropped down to 220 within a month and hit another plateau. Then I started Interval Sprints. Warm up/down 8 sets of 2 min walk and 30 sec burst. I dropped 10lbs of pure body fat and became extremely skinny within 5 weeks. I could actually see my cheek bones and my shirts were now L vs XXXL. Waist was now a 34 from a tight 42.

From August till now I packed on about 25lbs. Been eating freely and now ready to lose weight again. I no longer want to do sprints on a track because I had a rough fall.

I tried interval training on the Cross Trainer at my gym yesterday and felt beat. I wanted to know if the pattern I am using is correct for the cross trainer or open to suggestions. My routine as of yesterday:

4 min Warm up
Resistance Level to 16 (30sec all out burst)
1 min 30 sec resting period at level 4 resistance
I repeated this set 8 times... then cool down

I was beat after and felt just like I did when I use to sprint. Will this method be just as effective as sprinting or is there a different routine you need to use when using a Precor cross trainer. Advice please!!!!
