I am Rita, the real solution is for long term and have good habit about food and exercise. A reasonable weight loss rate is around 0.5-2 pounds a week. To loose weight too fast is bad for health and will resolve nothing in long terms.
I keep the following reviews:
1. Take the habit to go to buy food with a list (of healthy stuff of course – forget soda, cookies, chocolate…) and with having eat something before.
2. When you need a snack before lunch and dinner … eat some fruits (fresh or dry) and some vegetables (little carrot…). Forget the “low fat” product snack … useless and expensive!
3. Share your weight-loss plan with a friend. It is always easier when you are two people (and more fun!)
4. Write down your goal on many papers with details (prefer something like “loose every week 2 pounds” to “I must eat less”) and stick it everywhere (bedroom, fridge, bathroom …).
5. Drink a lot of water ( 3 L per day) and forget all kind of fast food.
Keeping going and going, with more friends and motivate each other.
