Hello everyone, new to this site. This is a great tool to get me started.
I am 27 year old female. I have recently put on over 60 pounds throughout pregnancy. Now I am at 168 and don't seem to be loosing any weight. Having a baby girl who is four months made me want learn how to eat healthy and be active. I want to set a good example for her. I am also tired not being able to fit into my old size 6 clothes that are taking over my whole closet. This body is not me, I dont feel comfortable in it, I feel I am suppose to look like someone else... what I was before. I keep complaining to my husband and feeling ashamed of myself for allowing myself to get to this weight gain. It is time for me to start doing instead of thinking.
I have read a few posts on here and have started to add brown/whole wheat bread to my diet. I went grocery shopping yesterday with my husband and picked out a couple things to get me started. I got tuna, whole wheat pita, prunes and trail mix as snacks, lots of veggies and bananas/strawberries for smoothies. I am not huge into eating meats, or eggs, never turned vegetarian but do feel guilty when I eat it. Therefore breakfast might be a little bit of a challenge.
Today I tried out some of my food and went on a scale and noticed I gained a pound. I probably shouldnt be checking it every day i'm sure it could be just water. I decided to drink tons of water... each time i go to my kitchen i try to drink a glass of water first.
I will keep you all posted once I learn a little more and add more variation to my healthy eating. It is overwhelimg at the moment. I have tried writing how many calories im eating but it is difficult with a lil baby to keep track of it all.. but i should make more time for it as I hear from many posts right calories is what will make me loose weight.
As for fitness, I bought a used bicycle machine and put it in my bedroom. I have been fiding it VERY hard to get on it as it is sooo boring and I have no tv in my room. Usually my baby doesnt like to nap throughout the day but sleeps all night and I get so exhausted by the end of the day... but I know its all excuses and I will try to make MORE time and motivate myself.. that is why I am here.. I do go out for daily stroller walks for half an hour. I have not added any strength training or exercises yet but am planning too. I will search around here for any strength training exercises I can do at home.

Any comments or advice will be very much appreciated and I am excited to get started!
