Hi, im pretty nervous about this whole thing actually. I've never complained or turned to anyone about my weight before but if i don't do something now I am worried about my health, mental and physical. I am seventeen years old ( a little young some people may say, but i am mature for my years) I have never been slim or 'skinny', in saying this i havn't ever wanted to be tiny. Just not 5'7'' and 180 pounds. I am big built and although I follow a moderately healthy diet I need some help :(. I feel unconfident and ashamed of my body and want to make a change now. It would be great to hear from anyone who has a willing ear and good advice :). Apart from that hi to everyone on this site and I would like to extend my good luck to all of those trying to improve their health and lifestyles by tackling the weight :)

Good health can be a massive motivator too. Have you checked out the stickies at the top of the Newcomers?
