I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself, my name is Ali and I have been overweight for most of my life.
Last January I finally decided that enough was enough and set about trying to lose weight the right way, rather than through some gimmick diet, which is how I lost weight in the past.
It has been a really hard year but with the help of a few special people in my life I have managed to lose 56 pounds and have gone from a size 24 to a 16.
My goal is to get to 150 (I started at 264) hopefully by the end of next year.
I have tried eating right and work out 6 days a week alternating between cardio and weight training...when I added the weight training I really began to see a change in my body.
What I am learning is that this is a process and there will be setbacks. Every time there is one, I try to learn from it. That is all you can do.
This looks like a great place for support and education, I am glad I found it.
