Hi all, another newbie here,
I found this place in search of something to keep me informed and motivated while I try to lose some weight. My current goal is to lose about 30lbs and that has been my goal for the past few months and not much has changed... so here I am!

I'm excited to search though the threads and meet some people and learn new things. :)

Welcome! I'm new here, too... Sounds like we are in similar boats. I've been trying to lose about 20lbs for quite awhile now and I can't seem to get motivated to finally do it. I'm curious, also, to hear what your plan is. :)

Thanks for replying everyone :)

My plan is simple, I'm going to watch my calories, eat healthier food, drink less alcohol and more water and exercise when I can (mainly workout videos for now). I'm going to take it slow so it becomes more of a lifestyle change rather than a diet. I hope to lose at least 30lbs before June 18, 2007 (my second wedding anniversary).

Good luck, Gleam! You've definitely got the right attitude - it does have to be a lifestyle change in order for any weight loss plan to be successful. That's where I'm feeling like I've failed, so to speak. I made the lifestyle change once and lost 20+ lbs but it's so easy to slip back into old, bad habits (sigh)...........

Hello there. I just started here as well!
My best to you! I had my first full day of starting my new path.
Washing the "negative cobwebs" out of my mind (if that makes sense) was one of the things I did today (along with the tons of water, exercising, and healthier eating.).
I already like this site a lot! Hope it suits your needs as well!
