Hello I am a 22 year-old college student. Last winter i started a 16 week "crash diet" all i ate was salad with plan chicken breast. Along with this I was lifting weights three days a week and using an elliptical machine at least twice a week.

At the start of this i was around 240lbs and by the end of the 16 weeks i was about 200lbs. I was really happy with my self at 200lb but as things go I was working three jobs (about 70 hours a week) all summer and obviously did not have much time to eat healthy, most of the time it was a quick burger at bk or micky-d's on the way to work and almost no time to exercise. On top of this my girlfriend's parents own a bbq/catering company (amazing food).

Well by the end of the summer I was back to 220lbs :( Now that i am back at school and the gym is right across the street from my dorm i have been going to the gym five days a week usually lifting all five days (i switch it up so that i don't hurt myself) and recently i have decided to us the elliptical machine also. I am trying to do that five days a week but it usually turns out to be about 3-4 day.

My diet consist of what ever my school feeds us.... i usually do salad for lunch and try to eat make healthy low fat choice for dinner. This is kind of easy since they display the nutrition facts right next to the food :D however there isn't always a really healthy choice so usually those night i eat a medium size bowl of spaghetti with a meatless sauce.

Right now i am about 210-215lbs and really would like to lean up. i really don't want to loose weight because i am enjoying the muscle i am gaining from the lifting.

Oh yea and one last thing used to be addicted to diet pepsi. at one point last fall i drank about 2liters a night.... i know that is gross. anyways but i have cut that back i probably drink on the average of a can a day and about 5-6 half liter bottles of water.

Welcome and goodluck to ya! You sound like
you have a good plan.I am not sure about your school but my kids
school have alot more healthier foods now than before so hopefully
you find something healthy for ya at lunch!You totally are guzzling
