Hi there

New person, here.

I've always done my own home remodeling, and I recently installed a solid wood floor throughout the first floor of my house. It took me two days to install it, and it's taken me four days to recover from installing it. I didn't realize I was this out of shape. Sure, the flooring weighed 2+ tons (4300 lbs., according to the shipping paperwork) but I breezed through almost exactly the same thing with no sweat 5 years ago.

I have a desk job, so I sit most of the day. I'll be 50 this year, and I know things start to head south around this time. But I refuse to accept that I can't do a basic home improvement project without being able to move for days afterward. I don't have back problems or heart problems, and this is just inexcusable as far as I'm concerned.

I'm ashamed to admit that I'm one of those people who has exercise equipment gathering dust. Upstairs is a treadmill and a home gym. Downstairs in the family room is a cross trainer. I've been thinking I'd start using the cross trainer 30 minutes a day, 3 days a week. I'm not really interested in bulking up. My doctor is already happy with my diet and all my bloodwork. I'm on no medications or supplements.

Anyone see any glaring red flags with me suddenly starting something like this?
