Alright, so after this post, most of you will probably wonder why I am here as I'm not really overweight, but I hope I can still get support as I've really been looking for a comprehensive place where people will help me according to my needs, even though my situation is quite particular.

When I was about 11 until the age of 13, I gained weight and reached 150, which for my height was kind of big. I was on the edge of having to get pants in the plus size stores.
I managed to lose 10 lbs since then, which places me at 140 though now I'm stuck at 136-137. My ideal weight would be about 120-125.

I know it isn't much, but I have a problem; I am transgender, which means I was born female but I'm now on testosterone shots. I've been on it for about 10 months now.

All of the extra weight I have is placed in a very feminine shape, i.e my butt, arms and thighs. My butt is extremely big compared to my upper body, which prevents me from wearing male pants unless they are very baggy, and I am always paranoid about sitting because all the fat spreads down and it makes me very uncomfortable that people will notice I don't have a masculine shape.

What I need is to lose that extra weight so I can feel better about my lower body, to look like a normal man, but I'm stuck and I don't know how. I hope this is the right place for this. Thanks for reading!

Hey there LA,

welcome to the WLF. Even if you're looking to lose just a few pounds or say a hundred plus, I believe this site is awesome for the added support/ motivation you may be seeking. Take a look around the stickied threads and do a bunch of questioning if you don't understand. I'm sure there will be a few people willing to help you. Have you figured out a plan as to how you'd like to achieve your weight loss goals? (meals/ workouts)

As for your journey of F2M, good luck with it. I have a number of close friends who have undergone either F2M or M2F transitions, so I really hope that works out for you well. (One of the boys had the same "problem"... larger lowerbody, not wanting his bum to look "feminine.") Being that you're taking hormones, I'm sure you're also seeing a counselor who can give you tips on how to make the transition easier for you. Wishing you all the best. :D

Thanks, Sheryl! I don't really have any plans yet, but I go to school by bike everyday, which takes about 5 minutes. I also go on bike rides occasionally. As for nutrition, I admit I probably eat a lot.. but then again I'm always hungry, I don't know if it's due to the hormones or other things but I was always hungry before too. Perhaps finding a way to cut down hunger would help me best.
I'm sure this place will help me, I'll look around now.
