Hi, plz help

Hello, Im about to weigtht training. Before I start I would like to ask 3 questions.1- I hurt my knee and shoulder years ago so I can't add weights everytime I workout. Can I just do light weights with high rep to the point where it burns? ( i mean really light ) 2- I can only workout 4 days a week due to my schedule. from Mon to Thur, Can I work my upper body mon and wed and my lower body Tue and thurs and run the same days?. I mean is 24 hours rest in between workouts is enough for the musles to recover?. 3- The only thing that makes me strong is pushups, pullups and dips. Can I do that every day?. Thanks so much.

Hmm, if you mainly do pullups, pushups and dips, then you don't need to worry about adding weight just yet I think... If you still have to start, I think it'll take quite a while before you can do about 10-15 reps of pullups and dips... pushups will be easier, so bench pressing would prolly be required. You shouldn't do these every day, you'll also need rest. I think a day of rest would be ok... you won't grow much, but you'll get stronger...

Using weights you can easily do more than 15 reps won't really make your muscle grown, I've even heard that it would make them smaller...

But you should probably see a doctor to ask whether or not you can lift weights, it might be dangerous.

About the rest time: 48 hours might be enough if you don't push your limits too much... you should try and see what gives best results for you; training every muscle group twice a week or once a week... But a whole upper body workout every time is probably too much anyway...

I'm not a pro though, but there are a few here, so please correct me if I am wrong about something ;)
