Hi newbie here. Can someone give me some general advice for starting out?

does your age, height, weight matter when starting out?

Hi, I am new to these forums. I am a guy, 14 1/2 years old,128 pounds, and 5'6.5" I want to start gettin serious about excersizing. can someone give me advice for starting out? this is what i did in the school the fitness testing about a month ago...

Pull ups (palms out) - 13
Mile Run - somewhere around 7:00
V-sit 11.5 inches
Shuttle Run - forgot the time, but .1 second away from presidential
Sit ups (1 minute)- absent day of testing, probably around 40-45

is this poor, average, or good for someone my age? can someone please help me out and give me tips on starting out. not only for lifting weights, but also stretching and running (i have some experience due to a year in track)

thx for all your help

look your test are preety good not the best but quite good, if you want to start exercizing good you should of mentioned which kind of exercise you are talking about, running, swiming, weights.
but I will guess that you are talking about weights and say that you should first of all develop strength without weights for 2 weeks, 4 times a week by doing this:
chin ups, push ups, sit ups as much as you can for 3 sets 1 minute break between each set.
after this 2 weeks move to very light weights and start doing very basic exercises, not squats or deadlifts but very basic stuff to develop basic strength
