Hi new here and need a diet overhaul among other things

Let me start by saying that what I need to loose isnt alot by most peoples standards, but it matters to me. I am currently about 160 pounds, 5'9" and midsized frame. At my current weight I cant fit into a good amount of the clothes I own, jeams specifically. I would love to lose 15 to 20 pounds to put me between 140 and 145. My problem, I have no idea what I'm doing. I am limited on what I can eat. I dont have a stove or oven. I am working with hot plates, a microwave and a toaster oven. So if anyone has any idea how to get me to 140 pounds I am all ears. I'm actually pretty depressed about my weight, I dont like where I am at.
 
Never loose your hope. Keep depression out of your mind. Don't be hurry to loose weight. It takes time. Walking and running can provide you the best result.You can do following-


Walk 4-5 miles a day

Try to have a good sleep

Don't go to bed at late

Avoid those foods which contains plenty of calories

I hate running and if I walked that long it would take me from the time I got off work till it got dark.

I have to have regular consistent sleep due to a condition I have, so thats no problem.

Avoiding certain foods is hard because I cook what I can on my hot plates. I would love to cook healthy chichen, but no oven.

Maybe the gods will give me the motivation and time to do my P90x or 10 minute trainer.

Grill your chicken.


If you want it bad enough, you will force yourself to do exercise.
 
Exercise DVD's? Even a small walk each day will make a difference. I lost 20lbs of the 40lbs I lost on £6.50 a week and with no oven. If you want it bad enough, you will do it! Have you logged your food? Can you post what you'd eat on an average day? I can suggest improvements.

Well I havent really been eating for the past week, I have been sick. But a normal day may consist of a Poptart for breakfast, a Lunchables for lunch, and dinner maybe some cerial.

"may consist of"???

How many of these normal days per week do you have? I highly doubt you gained weight from eating said foods. I am almost 100% certain there are foods you are not telling us about. List them and the amount. Drinks too. Snacks too! SAUCES too !!

Better get used to not losing weight then, especially with that mind-set.
 
That's not a good attitude! Come on, you posted here for a reason! Let's get you started! Go to the diary section on the forum and make a thread that you can post in every day. Log your food, mood, exercise, failures, successes, etc and get motivated!

I guess I do need an attitude adjustment. I have been stuck in a bad cycle of eating that I DO want to change. As a positive change I bought apples and bannanas yesterday a healthy snack. I need to throw away the junck food, that may be todays project.
 
Chuck the junk and start a diary in the diary section here--you can get support and advice there if you log your food. Come on! You can do this!

Thank you. I will start a diary and a food log. Gonna find that now.
