Hi...need some motivation here

Hi all.....finally decided to join the forum after losing motivation. I am a mom of 2 active kids (3 yr and 1 yr) and I am finding myself making excuses and feeling too tired to get my butt in gear! I need to lose 35-40 pounds and told myslef that today is the day to get started.
 
Good attitude. The time to act is now. Far too many people push things off until they are "ready."

Hint: You are NEVER going to be ready. It takes a strong person with a lot of heart to actually make the commitment to better themselves.

Thanks Steve. My plan?? Exercise is key for me since I already have a pretty healthy diet. I need to start consistently weight training so I am aiming to start at 3 days a week. I also want to do cardio 4-5 days a week. My main obstacle right now is exercising at home with many major interruptions by the kids. I have odd working hours and cannot work out at the same time everyday. My husband knows that living a more healthy lifestyle is a priority for me and so hopefully he will be supportive and help me get the time that I need to work out.
 
Hi there, I totally understand how hard it is to fit in the time when you already feel stretched. Support of your loved one is definately a huge part of it. Are you planning on doing it all at home? or are you part of a gym? Maybe there are things you can do as a family when it comes to the cardio

Hi Michelle,
We do have some home equipment and a great neighborhood for walking/running. My husband and I have discussed getting our bikes tuned up and getting a trailer bike for my son and a seat for my daughter so we can do bike rides together. We do walk through the neighborhood together but it is generally not fast enough to get any cardio benefit from it.
I did try joining a gym but neither of my kids enjoyed being in the nursery and it was actually quite a nightmare. We will probably revisit that in 1-2 years but for now it is working out at home.
